Privacy policy

Stefano Quercio (Spain), trading as Loopcost, is the data controller for this website and for any correspondence you send us.

For anything in this policy — including any of the rights in section 07 — contact info@loopcost.dev.

Nothing, directly. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no embedded third-party scripts, and no forms. Fonts are self-hosted, so loading this page does not tell anyone else that you visited.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard server logs (including your IP address and browser user-agent) to deliver the page and protect the service against abuse. We do not combine those logs with anything else, and we do not use them to identify you.

If you contact us — including through the “try it on your warehouse” links — we receive whatever you choose to send: typically your name, email address, company, your warehouse, and the contents of your message.

We use it to answer you and to run a design-partner evaluation if you want one. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.

Loopcost is a self-hosted CLI. It runs in your environment, against a read-only role you create and control. We never receive your warehouse credentials.

Raw query text and compiled SQL are parsed locally and discarded at ingest. This is a design invariant of the tool, not a configuration option — and it is described in more detail on the architecture section of the home page.

We answer enquiries on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about the product (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you go on to run a design-partner evaluation with us, we process that correspondence to take steps at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Server logs rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We keep correspondence for as long as needed to answer you and, if we end up working together, for the life of that relationship. Ask us to delete it at any time and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Two categories of processor: our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) for serving the site, and our email provider (Spacemail) for receiving and storing your messages. Both act on our instructions.

These providers are based in, or transfer data to, the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. Email info@loopcost.dev and we will respond within one month.

If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the Spanish supervisory authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es), or to the authority where you live.

If we change what we collect, we change this page and the date at the top. Loopcost is designed so that raw query text, compiled SQL, and warehouse credentials stay in your environment — if that ever changes, we'll say so here and date it. We won't do it quietly.
