Where warehouse cost numbers come from

Every cost tool prints a dollar figure. Almost none of them say which view it came out of, what rate it was multiplied by, or how far off it is from the number your vendor actually bills you. These are working notes from building the adapters — written up when we got something wrong and had to go find out why.

  Your Snowflake dollar figures are ~23% low if you hardcoded $3 a credit

  We priced credits at a flat $3.00. The account's own rate sheet read $3.90 — so every dollar we printed was 23% under. Here is where the real number lives, the org-wide trap in the view that holds it, and the reconciliation that proved it to the cent.
